      Edwin Honig, who has taught at Harvard and Brown, is a twice Guggenheimed fellow, a grantee of the American Academy of Arts and Letters, National Endowment for the Humanities, winner of the Amy Lowell Traveling Scholarship in Poetry, holder of the Governor's Medal (Rhode Island) and the Golden Rose of the New England Poetry Club. 

He has been knighted by both Spain and Portugal for his translations.
